Leopardwood Stave Snare Drum
Leopardwood is a Central and South American wood which derives its name from its prominent flecked figuring that resembles a leopard’s spots. A very hard and visually striking wood results in an eye-catching and ear-pleasing snare. It seems many people are unfamiliar with this wood and I get a lot of questions about it.
This 6.5 x 14” snare has chrome hardware, including the DW Mag throw off/ 5 position butt plate and 3 mm triple flanged hoops. Bearing edges are 45 degrees with an 1/8” roundover and wide, shallow snare beds. It comes equipped with Evans heads and PureSound 30 strand snares.
